Kiana on Sunday

Jennifer and I have now completed our first Sunday here in Kiana. Jennifer helped with teaching the children during sunday school which was the first event of the day at 11:30am. Following that was the church services at 1:00pm which consisted of music, preaching, and a great time of fellowship following the service. Pastor John Piepmeier brought the sermon during the service at Kiana Baptist Church and was a great service as we had about 15 people in attendance. During the evening Jennifer and I attended the Friends Church which is rooted out of the Quaker tradition. They asked me on Saturday if I would give the sermon at the Friends Church Sunday at 6:00pm so we accepted gratefully as we are asking the Lord to open opportunities to share the gospel with people. The service went good with about fifteen people in attendance. Directly following Jennifer and I went quickly over to Kiana Baptist to lead the youth in a service.

Please pray for us as we have a very busy week planned with the youth comming over to our house for a time of games and fellowship tomorrow night, prayer meeting on wednesday, the pre-teens on thursday night for french toast and cookies, and movie night on saturday with the possibility of a sleepover, yea! God is working and allowing us to be able to make great contacts with other people within the village.
